So...this is something I've been meaning to re-do for ages now. But especially since the move to IJ in August.
My number one priority in fandom is, has and always will be, fic. Writing it, and still occasionally recing it. I post the 13th of every month to ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) daily_deviant, and participate in random fests here and there. And, on great occasion, I write something just because it desperately has to get written.
Modding -
I am an editor at potter_prophet, which I contribute to each Sunday.
I mod the asylum blaise_zabini, which accepts all fic, art, icons meta or other entries having to do with the dark-skinned Slytherin.
I also mod hp_nano, which is a gathering place for those in the HP fandom participating in the yearly NaNoWriMo Challenge in November.
RP -
I co-mod the game founders_legacy, where I play Draco and Blaise.
I also RP in a slightly different form at rp_bad_boyz as Rabastan and Blaise.
And there's also still an older Draco in my head who snuggles with K's Harry.
Then there is true_revenge, which ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) foodie and I have been slowly posting all our stories that started with a simple little idea I had about how Lucius might have proposed to Narcissa.
And shadowhunt, which is the beginning of a pseudo-rp surrounding an idea foodie had where Hestia Jones starts up a bounty-hunting agency after the war.
Then there's something that's not strictly fannish, but which I haven't mentioned in my journal until now--writing_linkz. It's nowhere near complete, and probably never will be. It's invite-only to join, but anyone is free to watch. Mostly, it's a place where I stash links that I think will be helpful in my writing.

Yes, I'm sure you've all heard it. Assignments are out. :D You'll never guess which team I'm on! ;D And, just for good measure, because it made me giggle... The Team Rosters are here.

Yes, I know everyone is already either doing this or sick of it, but I had a different idea of how to use this meme. I've been seeing comments a lot of in the past year or so about how comments and feedback for fic seem to be declining. Fic that might have, at one time, received three pages or more worth of comments now barely even manage one. And since May, this phenomenon has gotten worse. Constant problems with LJ, two conventions, the movie, the book... Most of us are pretty burned out at the moment. And we have good reason to be.
So let's make this simple. You know how great it is to get feedback, right? But we all have a tendency to think that we have nothing to offer, or that we're too busy to leave a note, or we can't think of anything to say, or that everyone has already said it all before us, so we end up not commenting. The truth is, I doubt there are any of us out there who wouldn't like an extra comment or two, even on an older fic, and even if it's just "I love this!"
Minx's idea for the Bring-Back-the- Porn-o-thon was a great start. Go through bbtp_challenge and follow the links and comment, comment, comment. Then, when you're done? It's time to keep the ball rolling. What if we were all to choose a few favorite authors, or stories (three or four or five or however many you want), and comment to each of them? If you can't think of what to say, go read through "Maeg's guide to leaving feedback" essay for ideas.
First: leave these instructions in your journal.
Second: comment on a fic
Third: at the bottom, leave a note: "Pass it on," with a link to the instructions on your journal so that the person can decide if they'd like to participate.
Also, just because you get a "Pass it on" note doesn't mean you have to. This is in no way mandatory. But if you've ever complained about not getting enough (any) feedback, all I ask is that you think about it.
Easy, right? And even if everyone only does three each, and not every person joins in, just imagine how many new comments people will get! Come on, guys. Join me.

Found all over my f-list this morning.
This girl is already getting quite a talking to, however, just in case it doesn't change her mind to do so, you might want to go look at this list, and ask her to take down any of your fics you don't want her distributing. I'm seeing tons of fics by people on my flist, and I haven't even scanned all the way through.
The nice thing about knowing which are my popular fics is that it's really easy to tell if I'm on a list of this sort, even when they don't put authors names (which they--shock of shocks--never seem to. Maybe that shoul be a clue to them that they're doing something wrong?), because I know just which two to look for to see if I'm there. I can't imagine being a major fandom author, where so many of my pieces are well-known...

So, I hadn't seen one about yet, so I made a Blaise asylum. It's blaise_zabini, and all fic/art/graphics/meta are welcome there. Didn't want him to get left behind over at LJ. ;)

I'm looking forward to it. People have already clamed others that I'd love to do, but I'm sure I can find more once I've finished those three... :D

I updated my fic lists (a link to them can be found in my user info) to include my latest few fics.
Also, I have a C2 community over at FF.net - HP Genderbending Stories. If anyone would like to be a staffmember & help me find fics, especially now that we can have all ratings in the C2 communities, I would be thrilled to have your help.
A final note: please go Here and let me know what you'd like to see on October 24th. I want this to be fun, but I need input, folks! Spread the word, even. :D

Okay, so this is an idea that I've liked for a while now, but never done anything with. The idea that Draco might take on his mother's maiden name for whatever reason. I've even sort of written it, though I didn't focus on the aspect much. In the TR series, I had Narcissa change her name to Black, and force Draco to do the same after Lucius's arrest. Obviously not canon any more, but there you go.
So, question: Does anyone know of a story where Draco changed his name to Black for whatever reason? I'd love to read more. The idea's just fascinating to me. At the moment I'm reading a fic by Josan that has him suddenly deciding to do so (Snape has him and Harry in the COS, and they've just bonded). I'd love to read more.
And... My birthday's coming up in just over a month, if anyone were interested in say...writing me one? :D (My three biggest Draco ships are with Sev, Harry and Hermione.)
