1. Who is your favorite HP couple? (And I mean ACTUAL couple, not ship!)
Well, Neville and Ginny went to the Yule ball together...  Honestly?  I don't like any of them.  I think JK sucks at romance, and she should never attempt to write it.
2. Which would you rather see: a continuation of Harry's life post-Hogwarts, or a prequel about the original Order of the Phoenix?
Order.  Because I want more info about some of those people.  The Marauders, yes, but all the others as well.  How much older/younger they were than the Marauders, how well they knew each other, etc.
3. Who is the bigger jerk: Fudge or Scrimgeour?
Scrimgeour.  Fudge is just a small little man trying to comprehend something he cannot.  Scrimgeour should be smarter than that, but apparently there's something about the office that makes your brains leak out your ears.
4. What form would your Patronus take?
A panther. :D
5. Which of the Weasley twins' inventions would you most like to try?
Erm...  Can't say as I would.  But if I had to choose, maybe Extendable Ears?

1. Which character do you actually prefer the movie version of?
This one should be no surprise to anyone on my flist that I've actually talked to--Lucius. Jason is Lucius. I don't know how JK pictured him, but he took that role and he made it.
Though I should also say that Shirley absolutely made me love Myrtle. In the books she's an utter annoyance, and Shirley puts such life in her...
2. Which character do you usually love, but dislike his or her movie portrayal?
Dumbledore. I loved Harris. He and Rickman were the reasons I went to SS in the first place. I'd not even thought of reading the books before then. But Gambon...I can't even watch that scene in GOF, it pisses me off so much. I don't know if it was him, or the director, but either way, it's made me hate his Dumbledore. How hard is it to play that calmly? I mean, really?
3. What is your favorite moment/line/etc. added to the movies that doesn't show up in the books?
The snake. Well, okay, not the snake itself, because that is in the books, but the moment when Dud realizes he's trapped behind the glass. If anyone deserves to be an exhibit in the zoo, it's him.
4. In a perfect world, ________ would play _________.
In a perfect world, Richard Harris would still be alive and playing Dumbledore.
5. What is your overall opinion of the movies?
I think the problems are increasing with each film. I knew they would. And POA gives a hint of it, even though I like it.  They dropped too much of the Marauders' story, and it's too integrated into what happens in the story to have dropped that much.  It bugs me.  And GOF...  I think there are maybe two or three scenes that I enjoyed, and a few more moments besides.  Otherwise?  It sucked.  Doesn't leave me with a great deal of hope for OOTP.

1. Perform unblockable Legilimency for 5 minutes on Snape, Dumbledore, or Voldemort?
Snape, far and away.  Dumbledore...even if it was unblockable, the man was alive for 150 years.  He's had over a century to build up mind-mazes that would baffle a Slytherin.  And I really don't want to see the inside of Tom's head, thank you very much.  Now, Snape, on the other hand...  Yeah.  Definitely Snape. :D
2. Be a dinner guest at the Malfoy Manor or The Burrow?
The Manor.  Just because, omg, Malfoys!  I'm so obsessed with them.  I'd get on better with the Weasleys, but I really want to see the Manor, and watch them in their own habitat, as it were. ;D
3. Spend the night in the Shrieking Shack or the Chamber of Secrets?
Shrieking Shack.  The Basilisk might be dead, but who knows what other secrets might be lurking in there.  I mean, it is Secrets plural, right?
4. Attend a Deathday Party or a meeting of the Slug Club?
Slug Club.  Sure, he's annoying as all get-out, but at least there'd be real food, and interesting people to talk to.
5. Visit the Three Broomsticks or The Leaky Cauldron?
Can't say I honestly have a preference on this one.  My preference would have more to do with where I was at the time, and why I was there.

1. How do you feel about Dumbledore's avoidance of Harry in OotP?
Sounds like he was either losing cohesion already, or like he really didn't get it.  Someone needed to tell Harry it wasn't personal, at the very least.  It was stupid.
2. Name a favorite crackpot Potter theory.
I'm an absolutely huge fan of the Evanses as squibs.  Though I also really love the idea of unrequited love between Sev and Lily, even if one-sided.
3. Do you think Sirius (consciously or not) mistaking Harry for James actually caused more harm than good?
Depends what harm you're talking about.  I think it gave Harry the wrong ideas on occasion, but I also think it let him feel closer to his father, which was important.
4. Tonks: Love her, hate her, or somewhere in-between?
She was my new favorite character right out of OOTP, but I really hate what JK did to her in HBP.  It didn't even feel like the same character.  At all.  And took any remaining respect I had for Remus/Tonks away, too.
5. What Hogwarts house would you definitely NOT belong in?
Gryffindor.  Not brave, not a go-getter.  For me, the order is: Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor.

2 - Huge hugs to littlecup, who had her baby yesterday.

3 - Job news--went to an interview for a temp job today.  I'll be working in the tallest building in Seattle (formerly known as the Columbia Center) on the 34rd floor.  I'm working for a real estate insurance company.  A bit nervous about it, because it could be stressful, but we'll see...  Means I'll be more available during the weekends now.

Mods for hpficlist, I'll still be available in the evenings if there are problems.  But I'll likely take Saturdays or Sundays for my day until this is over.

RP people, particularly those of you outside the states, I'm afraid this means most of my gaming will be in the evening as well, or weekends.  If there's a particular plot you would like to do, just let me know, and we can talk it out in emails at the very least.  I will try to stay active as much as possible.

4 - Speaking of hpficlist, it's been kind of quiet the last few days, but there are lots of links to follow, and I'm about to go add a few more ships I saw that could be added...  Please come check us out?  It won't be much of a resource without links to follow, right?

5 -*whines* I want season 4 of QAF, already!  And Sims: Seasons, too!  Oh, well, at least I'll have job money I can use for it... :D

Veritaserum.  Like tearing off a bandaid.  The pain is over quick.

2. Have a Pensieve or a Time Turner?
Pensive.  The Time Turner is too limited in scope.

3. Apparate, use Floo Powder, or fly on a broomstick?
Apparate.  Floo sounds horrific, and I'm not big on flying.

4. Be a centaur or a merperson?
Merperson.  The centaurs seem a bit stuck up to me.

5. Have dinner with Professor Slughorn or Professor Trelawney?
Slughorn, but only by a narrow margin.  Geh.
