So behind...

16 - A movie that you used to love but now hate
Independence Day.  Blew me away the first two times I saw it.  Then I started realizing that all the female characters in it are not only backdrops, but actually portrayed "best" as wives and mothers.  Just FYI, guys?  That's not the only things we can do, thanks.  That's to say nothing about how Amero-centric the stupid plot is.  Yes, the ships are all over the world, but WTH do they all wait for the US to do anything about it?  I happen to know there are plenty of clever people outside the US, thanks very much.

17 - A movie that disappointed you the most
Men in Black II.  Really wanted to enjoy this one even half as much as the first, but it was just...boring.  If you want more, watch the cartoon.  Much better.

18 - A movie that you wish more people would’ve seen
This one's a tie for me.  Both of these are low-budget films as opposed to Hollywood releases, but both are worth a view.  Orlando, based on the Virginia Woolf story, and Stage Beauty, which takes place about 100 years (give or take a decade) after Shakespeare in Love, and is based a bit more on historical fact.  Both deal with perception of male and female roles from very non-traditional viewpoints, and both are well-worth checking out if you haven't seen them.

I think you know I agree fully with you on Independence Day. One of the movies I've really loathed ever since I saw it. (So not 100 % agreement, but agreeing with the conclusion you reached.)

As for Orlando, I love that one. As you also know. And I'm trying to get my hands on Stage Beauty.

Oh, goody. Not getting my notifs again.

Yeah, I knew you'd agree with that one. It gets worse the more I see it frankly. It's too bad.

I'm sure you'll love SB as much as Orlando. Or nearly, anyway. Lovely film.

It's so gorgeous. And I'm such a sucker for Othello, so that makes it even better. :D
